In the morning we planned to start early but we couldn't. Everyone was really enjoying the cool morning sleep. Then finally we got ready. The plan was simple. We would go to Ghatsila to visit Burudi dam and then return home. In the meantime Kausik contacted me. He promised to join us at Burudi dam. That day only Nandada was accompanying us everyone else had gone home the previous night. He would go upto Balarampur. We had our breakfast at a roadside teashop. Sambit was not feeling well, so he skipped it. There we found a poem written in local dialect on the wall of the shop.

As we were passing Pakhi Pahar, Nanddada suggested we should visit it. So we took a detour. We just reached there and turned back, didnt spend any time there. We took the road Balarampur, Banduan, Mahulia to reach Ghatsila. This time we went to the other side of Burudi Dam. Previously I always went to the natural side of the dam. Hat side was shaded and lonely without the chaos of the tourists. This time we went to the actual dam side. Crowded and full of car and bikes as expected. We found a way to bring our bike to the edge of water. This area had no tree cover, so without shade it was very uncomfortable in that harsh sun. Sambit, Pralayda and Biswajit changed dress quickly and ran in to the water. My mobile tower was gone.after a lot of trying i finally was able to contact Kausik. He was at the opposite side of us as expected. So he said he would come to our side.

In no time I found Ayeshi, (Kausik’s daughter) was running down the slopes and behind her was Nabanita (his wife). Kausik was behind them maneuvering the bike through the slopes to the shore of the lake. Ayeshi ran towards the water. Kausik ran behind her. I also joined them. After some playing with water we returned. Sambit, Pralayda and Biswajit had also returned from their bath. Nabanita and Ranu were chatting under the harsh sun. We all were really hungry. As we were discussing options, Kausik and Nabanita suggested about Aranyak, a nearby resort. But we were not sure if food would be available as it was already very late. So we decided to checkout the options on the dam itself. But as we saw the hotels, we thought of taking the risk. Kausik lead the way. We all followed him along the long twisting turning village road. After a few kilometers we reached Aranyak.

It was a small resort but very beautifully decorated with lot of ornamental plants and flowers. We didnt waste time to order food but only then we came to know that food would take atleast an hour. Nabanita tried to talk them into serving us earlier and was self convinced. Well, it took more than an hour to serve the food. That gave us the opportunity to explore the surroundings. It had a lot of season flowers, as well as ornamental plants. They also kept a lot of rabbit. Ayeshi was very excited seeing the rabbits. The food was good. But the long delay and their failure to deliver a good service spoiled our mood. Then when the time for payment came, Kausik paid the whole amount. Now we realized that in the whole trip we didnt have to pay for our food except one time in Mukutmanipur, all other times were taken care by our friends.it was now the time for a good bye as on the highway we would go in the opposite direction of each other.

Return journey started and we planned to ride as much as possible without stop. But even before an hour we had to stop in a truck lay by area. We all were feeling sleepy because of the amount of rice that we all had eaten. We drank a few cups of tea and rested there for some time. Refreshed, we started our ride again. I was surprised to find that the road work was complete from Ghatsila to Kharagpur. So we had a very smooth ride home. It was past evening when we finally reached home.
